i was wondering if arboricola bush safe to but in the cage with a chameleon??? im finding that they are then there not so im not sure????

Thanks guys i was thinking yes just needed someone to make me feel better about it so i will just worrying about it

I prefer it over arboricola because its branched structure is great for climbing and the texture of the bark is easier for chams to grip. However, it is a bit finicky, they like to drop and regrow leaves when the environment is changed, for instance, from a greenhouse to a cham cage. Schefflera is a bit hardier than the ficus and and I do like that it has a more tropical look, however I personally think the variegated variety is hideous and the plain green version is not the easiest to find here.

ficus always die on me. I have had the best luck with umbrella palnts

Ficus are supposed to not like too much water, but mine is thriving with my aquazamp spraying directly on it. Mine only dropped a few leaves here and there and I am seeing lots of new growth up top by the lights.

i like the tropical look i just wish it had more branches, not easy to find good plants for chameleons where i am

I have heard arboricola are hard to take care of though. Is this true?

Ficus are very low maintenance plants to be honest, so are umbrella plants.

we will soon find out lol i hope no me and plants dont get along very well,i seen somewhere someone said they are like umbrella plants?????

Just make sure it is getting enough light and IMO, the biggest cause of dead plants in cham enclosures is over-watering from drippers, misting systems or whatever.
