Anyone

Duffer

New Member
Hi just wandering if anyone has any ideas about this. Veiled about 1 year old been fine up till about 2 weeks ago and now his accuracy has completely gone can't hit anything any more. His appetite has almost all gone but is drinking a lot more than usual. He has a varied diet which is gut loaded and dusted. Changed his bulbs don't know what else to try, is it a trip to the vets.

His food is lightly dusted daily with Komodo calcium dust and nutria all every other day always have since he was 6 weeks

You should be dusting his food with Calcium with D3 and Multivitamins once every two weeks to ensure he gets the correct supplementation in his diet. As for lighting, what do you use?

I can't diagnose what is wrong with your Cham but it could be to do with insufficient supplementation. Also, UVB 5.0 should be used as opposed to UVB 10.0 in most cases. I'd advise immediately putting him on the correct supplementation and trying to hand feed him so he can properly eat. If he shows no sign of improvement, I'd suggest taking him to the vets. I'm by no means an expert on Chams as I have owned one for over a year however this is my opinion. Hopefully someone with more expertise can have an input into this situation.

I'm certainly no vet, but it sounds like a calcium deficiency. I'd recommend a vet trip so they could possible give a calcium injection if need be. My Cham did the exact same thing! Good luck
