I just "inherited" a Flap-Neck cham from a friend of a friend and I want to make sure I'm doing everything right. I've been looking for info on them online but have yet to find much on flap-necks specifically. It seems that their care is pretty similar to other common chams but I would love to hear from anyone who has owned one.
Anyone with Flap-Necked Chameleon Experience?

well an important tip is that veileds are the easiest to take care of...
flap necks are not of the veield species, so you've dug yourself a hole there.
take your cham's care VERY seriously. temp, humidity, dusting, diet etc.
it must be taken as if it were a condition you could only survive in.
so please keep that in mind. i beg of you. i've seen too many dead chams on the e-net because of ignorance or neglect (or both.)

Flap necks are actually quite hardy when they aren't so beat up from being imported, and even more so when Captive hatched/bred. Their care is similar to that of a veiled but need more humidity and seem to like to drink a bit more.
I guess I just want to make sure I'm doing everything "right". It is in a mesh enclosure that I will be upgrading to a larger one asap. There are numerous vines and branches inside from top to bottom. I suspended a cup with water about 2/3 of the way up and put a "bubbler" in it and it seems to enjoy that. I mist it several times a day. I feed crickets every other day dusted with D3 w/out calcium and will use D3 and herptivite a few times a month and have started a dubia colony also. Does all this sound ok?

Another thing, he/she is brown ALL the time. I have the cage in a low-traffic, low-noise area so I don't think it's stress. Is this maybe just normal?
