Welcome back. You left before I got here, but if you're anything like the rest of the group Im glad you're here!

KobaOregonherper...I got my first chameleon in the mid 80's and became immediately addicted to them! I actually started off with a very nasty basilisk my neighbor gave to my son because she was fed up with it and we traded her for a helmeted iguana (corytophanes cristatus). While looking for things for it, I found a chameleon in a pet store and foolishly bought it. Nobody could tell me anything about keeping it and "everyone" said that it would likely die in a couple of weeks. Luckily it was a strong male chameleon and by sheer luck I got the husbandry somewhat right and it lived for over a year. My second one lived even longer (about 4 years). Since then I have had lots of lizards, turtles/tortoises, etc.

Even after all these years I still have so much to learn. I wish I'd had this forum when I first started out. Its a great place to learn.
