I am just curious about this product. My cham has been dried out on his nose for quite some time and it seems like he is forever shedding where is back spikes are. It does not come off in big pieces of skin but just small little pieces. The humidity is not really an issue as I live in Florida. I mist him with warm water and he spends most of his days outside in the great old Florida sunshine. So was wondering if this product is good and if anyone has ever used it? I am afraid as I am thinking it could also irritate the skin. I would not put it on his nose for fear he might get it in his mouth somehow but I wonder if if would work on the spike area? Any ideas?

I tried it when my jackson had some trouble with some skin on his tail and dorsal area. I didnt really notice it help too much, but the skin did eventually come off. I didnt notice any "bad" effects with it either. So maybe it works? maybe not, lol. Sorry i could not give you any more help with it.

Carol, you can always try sticking him in a long warm shower and once the skin is nice and soft see if you can get it off with a q-tip. If you can't get it off with a gentle glide of the q-tip then don't force it, obviously, but this has always helped my guys if they had a bit of shed stuck in an awkward part of them to rub against a branch.

If that fails then spend the money on a product, but I'm not sure how much it does.

i havnt tried it with my cham, but i have done it on my green iguana and it doesnt have an immediate effect like it would lead you to believe but if you spray it on the or rub it on them, let it sit for a minute or 2 then stick them in a warm bath or tub of warm water rub them a bit it does help

I used it alot on my first cham Burt... It worked pretty well, But like mentioned before, it doesnt just make the skin fall off immediately. Where I live the winters are SERIOUSLY DRY! I couldnt mist as often as I wanted (work) so his cage would get dry too. I have the humidity level solved now thanks to my Mist King:D I have it set to mist short sessions about every hour & a half. Burt actually liked the stuff... it has aloe & other moisturisers. I would often just scrape stuck pieces of skin off with my fingernail;) It was never stuck on that hard. He would go to town rubbing on branches and things during a shed, much harder than I ever picked at a piece of skin he probably didnt even know was there. ;) Dave
