anyone else feel bad when they have to give their chameleons medicine? I had to give my Ragnar his second dose of de-wormer and he looked so betrayed! He probably will hate me for a bit but hopefully I can buy his trust back with lots of tasty bugs.

My chameleon, Kyle, has not trusted me since I gave him meds a few months ago. I had to be the bad guy and take him out of his home and make him drink the nasty medicine. Any time I open his cage he is ready to fight and I get the hissing and lunging non stop. He only likes my girlfriend now... Never hisses at her or puffs up and often times he comes right to her so she takes him out to his free range.

Dang chameleons can sure hold a grudge! Ragnar forgave me for letting the vet man handle him so maybe I'll luck out again and he will get over this.

Yes, not only medication either...removing shed is bad too! I'm like, "Sorry...sorry...sorry..." the whole time I'm restraining them. Then again, we are Canadian, maybe that's a natural response? lol

I do and I don't since so many chams come to me sick right off the get go... I guess I have just gotten desensitized to it. I would rather them hate me and never trust me again as long as they are healthy. There for I just get in and out. And let them relax. For some reason I don't have a lot of trust issues if I have created them before medications are needed. Idk why

Horned worm goes first then goes the medicine Reggie and Ophelia barely even notice it. There is no grudge well out of the ordinary anyway, works every time.
