Anybody ever seen one of those before or kept one before? They are called Calumma Crypticum, or commonly known as either the Cryptic Chameleon or the Blue-Legged Chameleon. Came across that while messing around on the net and thought it was quite neat looking. I'm wondering what sort of adaptation to nature the blue legs serve as opposed to the rest of the body. Or maybe it's just for show, who knows. I haven't really looked into it. But it's deff neat.

I am not looking to own one or anything, I just figured I'd share it for others to see. I've came across lots of chameleon types while browsing here, but to my memory, I have never heard of this one while reading the forums, or ever, until now.

Looks like a type of mellers.

They may be related? Or this might be a type of Meller's? I'm not sure. I can't really find any info about it. Even Wikipedia doesn't have any info....

Here is a bit more info: http://reptile-database.reptarium.cz/species?genus=Calumma&species=crypticum

Aand here is the actual page I came across it on at first: http://www.arkive.org/blue-legged-chameleon/calumma-crypticum/

Calumma crypticum does not have a CITES import quota. However Calumma cryticum has a similar species Calumma brevicorne. There are species that occasionally are imported as one species when they are another. Last year there were two Calumma crypticum imported as Calumma brevicorns. This is a photo of one of those female Calumma crypticum. As of now there are no CITES quotas for Calumma crypticum.
