Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon, I think a female, no spurs but he/she does show signs of color like a male, roughly 2 21/2 monthes. About 1 month maybe longer
Handling - Once a week if that, I researched that handling causes to much stress?
Feeding - Crickets, I gave her a few waxworms but I don't want to spoil her. anywhere from 10-15 a day, Morning, Afternoon and Dinner time. Lettuce, organes, pears (vet told me they have calcium) They also get fluckers cricket food and water cubes. Both calcium forited.
Supplements - Currently ReptiCal with D3 twice a month. I did not know I needed the multi and the without D3 but I ordered them and will be using them once a month and at every feeding.
Watering - Dripper system that goes onto fake leaves. I mist about 3-5 times a day and I see her drink often
Fecal Description - Always brown pretty big and with white in it, never been tested. Should it be???
History - She is very active and alert, seems to growing nicely.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - 65 galloon all mesh cage.
Lighting - ReptiSun 100 watt mercury bulb with a reg light and a red light. 12 hours turn on day lights at 8am and turn off at 8pm. Keeping the red light on always.
Temperature - Cage floor is in the 70s Basking spot is 85-90? 70 at night. Tempator with probe.
Humidity - 50 to 60% misting and dripper
Plants - Currently ordered a ficus plant
Placement - Located in low traffic area, she is placed by a window so when it is was with sun out I open the window for her to get fresh air which she seems to love
Location - Pennsylvania!

Currently not having major problems just curious about the lighting. The light is away from her so she wont get burned. I am looking into a hood system.

Also she has been having her mouth open which I know she is trying to cool down. I removed the regular light and just have the Powersun bulb. The temp is around 88.

Let me know what you think, thank you so much.

Your lighting needs addressed, there is no need for a night light as long as the room the cage is in stays above 50 at night. those mecury vapor bulbs work good fot a large male in a 24/24/48 Those big bulb can contribute to egg production in females. I use reptisun 5.0 linular and 40-60watt basking bulb.

Welcome to the forums. I keep veileds and they are such a pleasure to work with. First I see that you are keeping her way to hot at basking. Max basking should be 80 to 81 her whole life since you have a female. Lowering the temps will be hard with that power sun....maybe raising it high off the cage. Get rid of the red light it's not needed and get some real gutload such as Cricket Crack along with fresh fruits and veggies. You also need a live plant. I'm attaching my blogs for you below. The first is for new keepers and the second for females.

Everyone on here uses the reptisun 5.0 tube bulb or reptiglo 5.0. They don't need that red light at night as they need a cool down time just like in the wild.

I have a ficus planet on the way, I use fresh veggies when feeding my crickets and I am removing the red light and ordering the 5.0 bulb and fixture. I apperciate the help.
