My newest female ambanja just laid 39 eggs, 41 days from copulation. She laid the eggs with ease. It has been my experience that the girls prefer non-fertilizer soil called pro-mix over sand. One day she made a test hole and the following day she went back to the test hole made it deeper and did her thing. I am happy she did it all with out a hitch, unlike my last sambava girl. I now have over 250 eggs incubating and I am keeping my fingers crossed most hatch. However, as the old saying goes "don't count your eggs before they hatch."
