And so I begin...

Well I did it! Well, not fully but I have begun to trot down the road of Chameleon keeping (Or is it called husbandry? If so, why is that?). I bought today a Chameleon book that came highly recomended, and a misting system from MistKing. Im pretty exited for next paycheck so I can buy the starting kit from Kammerflage Kreations and get that set up with my mist system and a ficus or two. Oh thats a question!

Are they're any plants that are safe to use? I know the ficus is safe to use, but the fact that it has somewhat toxic sap kinda worrys me. As stated many times before, I want EVERYTHING to be perfect for my lil guy. One more question for those who have a Mist King system. Are they hard to put together? I watched a video and it seemed pretty easy, but then I heard all this talk about a resevour tank. Either way i'll figure out but its always good to be prepared and know before hand. Thanks for all your help so far everyone! Im off to look at sires and try picking what offspring I want!

Congrats, glad to hear you are becoming a cham keeper and even more glad that you care enough to learn what you are doing prior to getting the cham.

Also a lots of us use Umbrella trees. Nothing to harm our chams.:D

Umbrella plants (Schefflera), Pothos and Hibicus are also cham safe. Veileds in particular are 'leaf munchers'. Amy (veiled) ate a few 'umbrellas' on her first umbrella plant (she even ate the 'umbrella' that she roosted on so she had to sleep elsewhere, lol!) and she also ate a good few leaves of her Hibiscus too!:D
