Ok thanks I jus wanted a way to have uv light not sitting on top of the mesh top.
Any ideas.
Why has link been removed aren't I allowed to do that

Is there any reason why keepers tend to keep away from them. I have one for my African grey and it covers all her cage.
I can change the bulb to a exo terra 5.0 or any other bulb.
Thanks ppl

At one time there was a manufacturing problem with the ReptiSun CFL UVB bulbs so that they emitted unsafe levels of UVB and even UVC rays, which corresponded to health problems like eye problems and burns in reptiles. This manufacturing issue was identified and corrected by the manufacturer several years ago and thus we have not seen problems with it since then unless someone unluckily picked up an older bulb from before correction. The ReptiGlo CFL UVB bulbs were never associated with these harmful effects. The linear ReptiGlo or ReptiSun bulbs have never had any health problems associated with them either. Many people use CFLs successfully now. Linears are better because they cover more area and tend to have more UVB output, but CFLs can be still be used.

Ok thanks a lot jus the info I needed really.
I want to use this lamp because dint want the light sitting on the mesh top. Using a liner tube I have to put it on top of mesh or attach it inside which I don't want to do.
So my only other thought was these lamps which look great and can position in a place which covers my chams cage.
Thanks agen.
