The greatest band that never was now has a new female vocalist. Amy joins Jimi Hendrix, Jaco Pastorius, Keith Moon, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain............there have been casualties.
Hardcore to the end, we will miss her...........

"My justification is that most people my age spend a lot of time thinking about what they’re going to do for the next five or ten years. The time they spend thinking about their life, I just spend drinking. "
(Amy Winehouse)

Once again another talent gone to waste, so sad. I think we all knew it was coming tbh. But yet im still in shock! I weren't really a fan and only liked one of her songs but i've been blasting her songs all day in memory of her. She was a very troubled soul i hope where ever she is she's finally found some peace. I feel very sorry for her family the way people are taken the p*ss and making jokes less then 24 hours of her death, makes me sick. For all her problems and likely caused her own death she was still some1s daughter, sister, cousin, friend, niece.. Think the world needs to remember that and show some respect!

Agreed, but I do love an evil joke. I'm sure Amy herself won't mind, and it can't make it any worse for her family........

Did you know that Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison, Cobain and now Winehouse all died at 27? Kinda weird isn't it? Someone did a painting that I saw called "27" and that is how I remember. Winehouse of course was not on it. I never listened to her music nor do I know any of her songs so I cannot comment on that. Sad to lose any life at that age.......

You never heard of Keith Moon or Jaco Pastorius? Them too, and more...........

yeah, but they died in their thirties, not at 27. i checked!!!! Also I saw the Who in concert when I was 16 so I guess Keith Moon was playing with them at the time cause he died in 78'. They were a great band. Also got to see the Stones too back in the day!

its the curse of the age of 27 don't forget the greatest singer and front man of the greatest band ever bradley nowell of sublime died at 27 too.

I've never listened to her music or heard much about her, except for her addiction problems. I am deeply saddened by her death, especially at her young age. I didn't realize she was only 27. It's deaths like these that make me hope there is reincarnation or rebirth, so troubled young troubled individuals like Amy can get another shot at life. RIP Amy.

I stand corrected, I guess I just always assumed...........they are still the rhythm section in my fantasy undead band though...........
Jealous you've seen some legends live - I don't actually go to many gigs, but have seen a few inc. Paul Weller and Kings of Leon.........

is it sad that i have no remorse for those who die due to their own selfishness? i keep her friends and family in thought and prayer.. but as far as amy... she paid the price for her stupidity, along with many others.

You guys are out your minds placing her in the same level as Hendrix, Cobain, Joplin. One hit wonder that saw it coming but too mentally weak to stop the madness around her...she should have said "yes to rehab"...

I'll not hear a bad word said of any of them.....you are wrong......... and Jimi is literally the greatest musician ever recorded. No one is his equal, lol

This band that never was, did not need Amy for singer. She was an "ok" singer at most. That is my opinion.

feel free to disagree, but in my books. my deepest respect goes out to eminem for the turn around he's made (celebrity wise) you dont see many people man up and take responsibility to get clean like he did. it pays big to get your life cleaned up.

And your opinion counts, but it's my fantasy band so she can back Janis up, that's my opinion, :D
You did also say she was a one hit wonder, so you are wrong.........you also said she was mentally weak, but I can tell she wasn't..........

I don't know much about Eminems personal life, but I agree. As long as he's still a CRIMINAL!

I just think calling the girl names making jokes about her is wrong when she's not here to stick up for herself. Yes it was probs her own fault that she died at just 27 but still its not right to make fun of her. Did no one see the recent pics of her? She looked as healthy as ever was working on her new album and was meant to be in a "good place" off the booze and drugs... Its easy to say she died of drugs and booze because of her past but that aint certain yet. As i said before i hope her troubled soul is at peace now and her family and friends find the strength somehow to deal with this hard time and to give her the best send off. I weren't a fan because im more into rock/metal music but there is no denying she helped put British music back on the map instead of all that rnb gangster c**p that people call music lately. As a fellow Brit im proud of her for that.
