Amazing Amy - So Cute!!

Miss Lily

OMG! I've just seen the cutest thing yet!:D:D:D I was dripping water from a syringe into a little pot of water to see if Amy would drink, and she saw the drops land in the pot. Next thing I know she stuffed her head in the pot and started lapping the water like a cat!

I carried on dripping the water and she lifted her head up and had another drink from the syringe! It was the cutest thing I've seen her do yet! Hubby also saw her use the dripper earlier today too! I am so happy! Somebody's gonna have sparkling white urates tomorrow, lol! I know that white urates mean they are well hydrated, but it's nice to back it up with proof too!

Amy has also found her confidence as well as her colours this week - when she wants to come out she'll walk straight onto my hand! When I came home this morning I went straight to her cage as I always do when I get home. As soon as she saw me, she started pawing at the door to come out! I am so very happy right now.:D I never dreamed that she would turn out anywhere near as lovely as Lily was, and Amy has proved me totally wrong!:D

For those of you who knew Lily, you can imagine how I am feeling right now - It's just like I have a little piece of Lily back again!:D

Having something like a little piece of Lily back must be like having a little piece of heaven. Lily was just the best chameleon, I am happy for you that Amy is following in her footsteps.:D:D:D:D:D

my bf's sengal drank water off my hand!! the water drops fell on my thumb and he went for it...he was like a small kitten lol!! its like he had never seen or tasted water in his life!

Wow thats super strange all my chameleons do that already!

Baby pumilum does it, baby veileds do it, and all my older veileds do it

Thats great Tiff, I know how you feel ;)
I also had similar today where Yoda came running "yes running" towards me when I started misting, I must admit it was a little nervous at first as he does nothing fast  lol, I then pressed the sprayer lightly so it just dripped & he started lapping away  at the nozzle , I would have said he was gagging for water but I had only seen him licking the leafs where the dripper drips down around 10 minutes earlier ? Hes certainly not a secret water drinker.

thats so great to hear :) i know how it is to have a special cham, especially one that is soooo nice and gentle :) Jack was like that, and i know how rare that was for a male veiled!!!! but yet i have Jude.........whom i had a hard time getting attatched to after Jack died, but he just doesnt give up!! he's just as weird, and goofy, and pleasant, as my old buddy Jack. :) He hasn't hissed at me yet, and I've never seen him get angry lol.......glad to hear a happy story :) we are very lucky!!!
