Your Chameleon - Male Panther Cham, 3 months old, I've had him for about a week
Handling - Only a few times
Feeding + suppliments- He eats locusts at the moment and crickets are on their way, i suppliment calcium without D3 at every feed and plan on using with D3 and multivitamin once or twice a month. I gutload the locusts with collard greens, blueberries and carrots.
Watering - I have a habba mist which goes off once every hour for 30 seconds and I'm placing a drip system in soon and I have seen him drink
Fecal Description - he has normal fecal matter, brown with white urate and solid. He is from a private breeder so has never been tested for parasites
History - He is from a very respected breeder who has had a long line of breeding panthers!

Cage Info:
Cage Type - enclosure is 48x36x22 (lxdxw) but I've halved the cage by putting mesh half way to the bottom. It is a wooden viv with the whole top and bottom half being mesh.
Lighting - I have a reptiglo 5.0 and have a standard 60 watt basking bulb.
Temperature - ATM his basking spot is at 85F and his ambient temp is around 73F. Lowest overnight temp is around 60F and I use both digital and analogue thermometers/hydrometers.
Humidity - My humidity ranges from around 45% to 60% depending on time of day and I manually mist when I can to help.
Plants - I currently have a ficus benjamina in there
Placement - It is located in the corner of my bedroom where he can't see much and it is on my chest of drawers so it is above my eye level.
Location - I'm in London, United Kindgom!

Current Problem - I'm just a little concerned about him atm because when I was putting the mister back in my enclosure yesterday, he was hanging from the roof on the mesh and I must have startled him because he tried to run away and fell... now i tried to catch him but he bounced off my hand and fell on the floor :(
He seems to be ok as he is still eating, drinking and very alert but he has been very dark since then and has hardly changed at all this morning either.
I'm not sure if he is actually hurt or if he is just angry at what happened.
Should I take him to the vet or should I assume he is ok?

Thanks

I think you should watch him over the next couple of days and just closely observe him to see if he might have a limp. In the wild and in captivity they do have a tumble every now and then, so im pretty sure they can handle quite a fall considering they live in the height of the trees. If you spot any signs of a limp or handicap a vet visit is due.

Ok thank you :)
I feel bad when he's all dark and unhappy!

the only thing that stands out to me is the amount your spraying him.
is it every hour for a 12 hour period,if so this is too much.i spray my babies
3-4 times a day.

No, I give him a mist in the morning when the lights come on at 7.30... then it mists every hour from 9 til 4 and then I manual mist whenever it looks abit too dry in there, is this still too much?

Thanks!
