Almost food... But just too cute!

We've been watching this little guy grow in a plant on our deck for the last few weeks. He's about an inch long now

When we first found him! Less than 1/2 inch long and just soooooo cute!

A green Chinese mantid. i have two females. i got them off ebay when they were in the egg. i feed the rest to my cham and bearded dragon.

Get out some sweet and sour sauce and feast. But wait for him to gutload himself, by cleaning up all your loose feeders. Circle of life.

Cute! I used to raise exotic mantis species, that's how I got the $$ to buy my first cham and set up. So, I cringe when I see them used as feeders

There are a few other members here who I recognize from the mantis forum.
But I don't post there anymore.

They actually make nice pets
