Hey guys :) So I had a extremely nice sheflerra plant for 9 months in Rango's cage that was perfect! Then it randomly died? So I bought 2 HUGE hibiscus' (one for the cage and one for the free range) I had them both for 2 weeks and then they died. I dont understand why they are dieing!? I water them every 2 days and they have plant food. Anyone know what i'm doing wrong? Also any suggestions on a hardy plant to go out and get? I like pothos but i'm not sure how im gonna hang them from his cage.

They are probley being over watered. I had the same problem then I started adding sand to the soil for better drainage.

Do you have them sitting directley on the bottom of the cage?

Probably over watering & lack of sun. Maybe rotate 2 plants, switching them out every 2 weeks so that they get a chance to get some sun and dry out from all the watering. Misting several times a day can really drench those roots. Some people also recommend using a double hood fixture, putting a grow light on one side and then the reptisun 5.0 in the other. I don't have one, but have read that it works really well :)

alright thanks guys! yes they are directly on the bottom of the cage.

it just makes no sence to me that one can last for 9 months and then my others don't even last 2 weeks
