It would be hard for him to get to the bottom of the light. He does like to sit at the top of the light. I did my best to be sure he can't burn himself. I just saw a post on here with a square planter case with screen so I might add that if he seems to be in danger.
Yeah I'm worried he's going to get a burn one day. I would arrange it more like this thread, https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/photos-of-the-inside-chameleon-condos-with-drainage-pans.146593/ with the light protected at the top and the plants below, more like real life.

He has the hibiscus below to bask under the light which he does. He goes down to eat and bask but then wants to go back to the top he didn't seem to like that there was something above him that he couldn't climb before I made the top available with his vibe ladder. The vine is a good foot away from the bottom of the light and when he's near the top he is sitting on the basket. I may just put the light on a separate stand though. I think he's happier if it's not at the very top.
