Air purrifier?

Im looking to get one for my chameleon room. It doesn't smell but i don't like the idea of breathing in airborne germs. Is anyone currently using one and could recommend a good one. So far i was thinking an ORECK brand one.

I just spent a month researching this. The cheap ones are junk, but the good ones cost over $850. This is one of the best ones you will get in this price range. They have it at Bed Bath and Beyond for $199 but if you sign up for an email account with them they will email you a 20% off coupon, so you'll pay $160 plus tax. It has an air quality sensor, which really works. The True Hepa filters are pricy, but they all are. You want True Hepa, not Hepaclean or any of the other Hepa-like filters.

If your cham setups are kept clean I don't see that you would be breathing in anything worse than ordinary unless you are thinking of molds from humidity. After all, chams don't produce dander or dust like other pets do. Live plants are pretty good indoor air cleaners. Some air cleaners are bad for birds ( and chams have a lot of simularities...what's often bad for birds holds true for chams, such as ozone generator type air purifiers).

I researched this as well. All you need is a cheap HEPA filter behind or in front of an area fan (those big square ones).

They did some research at a University or something and found that the 5$ HEPA filters did just/almost as good as the $850 ones mentioned above.

Since you did alot more research than me, what did you find was the difference in them that you were getting from the 180$ one vs the 50$ ones or 850$ dollar ones?

It makes sense since in reality it is only a fan with a filter in front of it.

Yea the smell isnt horrible because i spot pick out the feces daily and change the pads weekly. Its just smell when the initial fecal movement is made and sits out to dry. Its different if you only have one cham. But i have 7 in one room and Ive been increasing thier food intake lately to get them breeding. Result of this is big monster ferret size fecals and more frequently
