Age?

Well my boss is offering a good deal on this ambilobe who is that big. But he isnt showing any real colors yet and he seems kind of old to not show colors. I dont know whether to get him or not.

No, it is just one that he got in that was supposed to be a female but turned out to be a male. He has enough males. I dont have pics, it just has the colors of a 3 month old but like I said is about 4-5" long. But then again he just brought him into the store today with his other chams so he may have been stressed. Im gonna go up there tommorow to check him out again.

Are you talking about one that is a hybrid? I don't like his hybrids. *grumbles*

If not, I want him! :p

who you guys talkin about? (*in arizona im assuming*)

what store?

and definatly post pics, find out were he got this guy from.

IMO its pretty hard to fubar a female from male, especially if your getting an animal from a quality breeder.

FUBAR:
  • F***ed
  • Up
  • Beyond
  • All
  • Recognition

Syn: it is not the cross, it is supposedly an ambilobe(or so the breeder who also said it was a female told him):p

I will see if I can get some pics today.

Sang: it is Wildside Pets on Brown and Higley.

ahh, i have no dealing with them at all. Soooo can't say.

i know pets inc gots a good looking fischers right now, that he said he got from eco regional a while back, but i think they are asking 90 or so.

Thanks Tango :D

Is it possible to over feed a young Cham and get accelerated growth? Showing the size of an older Cham but no colors?

He would probebly look really pudgy and not have a lot of length I would imagine... remember the fat kid in grade school? always eating but not very tall? just short and fat? The tall kids in my class came from large parent and drank a LOT of milk and OJ.... Maybe this cham is a winner and is very healthy and is growing fast at a young age?

I would look at it this way: is he healthy looking and active? Is he going to be a pet or a breeder? just a pet? then don't put too much thought into it.

Just a little bump on this petstore * i am aware this was 5 months ago*

i actually stumbled upon this wildside pets today. there was a very nice large male what looked to be ambilobe male, and his babies... maybe 2months old or so...

overall i was dissapointed to see how they were keeping baby chams and how they were selling there kits.

the large adult male was kept in a cage that was about 4x to small. all the heat lamps were red heat lamps except for the babies...

they were given proper UVB bulbs which was amazing in itself.

overall the store is small and really the woman in charge today didn't know much of what was going on "oh is that an ambilobe" ...."no its a panther chameleon"... OK OK so for the person that doesn't know chameleons at all id imagine that there is still some common knowledge on something.

she really didn't have a clue except for how to run the register.
