after laying eggs...

Once a female panther chameleon has Layed eggs how long does it take before they begin showing non gravid coloration? My female nosy be was digging today then returned to the top of her cage, was wondering if I should expect her to not look gravid if she Layed? It's only been sixteen days since she crossed paths with my male Nosy be....

At least a few day. Is she eating and drinking?

You will know when she lays becuase she will look alot thinner and may have sagging or wrinkled skin. She should return to regualar non gravid colors within a few days

She has been eating and drinking, yesterday in the morning she didnt take her crickets or a dubia. When i came back to my room she was digging so I closed the door and checked on her an hour later and she was basking.

It's only been two weeks since she became gravid. I wasn't expecting her to dig so soon!

Are you sure she laid the eggs? Did you dig them up? How many did she lay?

I havent looked yet, she got done right as lights went out, they just came on so ill go check. Sorry if my post was confusing.

She hasn't Layed yet. She was digging in her plant rather than her bucket of sand too for some reason lol.

I just gave her a morning mist and filled her dripper and she is drinking a lot. As i was putting up her privacy sheet she looked to be heading back to the bottom of the cage!

I wasn't expecting her to dig so soon I guess

They normaly dig a few test holes first to find out where there going to leave the eggs so she's just getting preperd

Thanks for all the support! Kami layed her first clutch yesterday!! which was my birthday!!! lol

She only layed 15 eggs but im sure she was done because she buried them all! i knew where she was digging because i had checked on her otherwise i would never had known she layed eggs because she buried them so good! The surface soil was smooth again before i dug the eggs out!

Anyways just an update on the little lady! Thanks for your Blog Jannb! it helped a lot!

She finished laying last night right before lights out. I made sure to give her water before bed and she drank a lot!! she hasnt ate yet as her lights wont be on for another 30 minutes or so. She never hesitates much for food so ill be sure to let you know once its feeding time!
