advice for a new mom?

I just received my new baby sambava from the kammers:)
This is my first cham and he seems to be doing well, He drank alot the very first time the mister went off (about an hr after putting him in the cage) and has been eating VERY well. From what I understand he should be eating 10-12 1/4 size crix per day, which is what I have been offering him. However, he hunts them down and eats every last one in about 20m. Should I be offering him more or is he just a lil pig? lol.
My only other concern is that I cant seem to keep the humidity up in his cage(usually about 30%), which wont be a concern once summer comes, just concerning during these drier months. He has a 16"x16"x36" DIY screen cage. I have an aquazamp rain dome that is set to go off every 2hrs for 1min each time between 8a-8p, the cage is thoroughly dry by the time the next misting occurs and dry before bed. I also have a humidifier near by and he does drink when the mister goes off and he seems to be quite active, exploring his new home thoroughly and doesnt even seem to be too bothered to be handled. A little hesitant at first when picking him up but seems to be fairly comfortable once he grabs on and climbs up.
Im just a nervous new mommy and want everything to be just right for him. I have spent alot of time researching and alot of money trying to give him the best care I can. Im just wondering if anybody has any other advice.

Hi Wendy and welcome!. I have a chameleon from Kammers also. He is a Sambava too! Yes, he could be eating more that what you are giving him. 1/4 inch are small so he can eat around 20 plus and it will be ok. Pretty much give him what he wants. It is not going to hurt him at all. Alot of people feed the babies as much as they will eat. I mean don't feed them all day long but twice a day like 10-12 crickets a feeding is good or you can feed all at once. I am sure Kammers gave you their care sheet. Just follow that and you will be fine. Kammers bask their chams at higher temps than most advice you will get here on the forum. just go with what they tell you.
