I just want a bit more advice on breeding veiled chameleons i let them meet through the viv glass on sunday and she didnt like him she went black spotted, i tried monday by putting her in the tank the male came to her in a nice sun burst color she reacted by rejecting him by going black spotted again and she keeps doing that every time they meet....so i want to know when will she become reseptive but today she had a few blue spots on her but she has never had them before and that is an indication of her becoming reseptive so i tried again but i didnt put her in, he bloated up and in his sun burst color and she didnt hiss or bloat up or gaping at him but after 5 mins she did. so any advice

Try puting them in a neutral environment. Ive read on here that when they get territorial and youre trying to breed, that a neutral plant for them can help.

No they dont have to be in a New encloser. Do you have a free range plant? Or a fake tree? That is where I put mine to breed. It works every time for us.

I have fake trees in the enclosure of the male and female i take her to him but the colours the female is supposed to show isnt happening

The neutral area has to be out of eithers cage. It doesnt matter what you have in the cage. And if the colors are not turning to receptive. Then she may not be yet, or you missed it.

That is hard to know. All females are different. And I work with panthers. So I dont know if there would be a difference. Just show her the male ever so offten and see what happens.

ok thanks well i put her in on tuesday and didnt go well...so from then ive just been showing her to him through the glass hes ready but she isnt anyway how are panthers to keep cause ive always wanted a panther chameleon

Panthers have the same care setup as veileds. They are easy to take care of imo. I have 9 panthers and over 100 eggs in the incubator. So breeding has been easy for me.

You see i wanted a panther from the start but they didnt have any in the pet shops so i went for the veileds....dont get me wrong they are fantastic but panthers thay are really nice.
