Acting weird.

My chameleon is acting very strangely. hes clung onto the branch insanely close to it almost laying on it and his eyes look really tired. His skin looks like its about to molt so that's what i thought was wrong but i'm just getting worried. Hes gotten enough sleep, he wont eat, and he barley drinks. help?

Your Chameleon - Jackson, Male and about 1 year, hes been in my care for atleast 5 or 6 months ( i bought him at petsmart)
Handling -i try to handle him 2 times a day.
Feeding - I feed him crickets powdered with calcium i make my own gut loading recipes and i feed him about 3 or 4 a day around 2 pm when i get home from school
Supplements - i powder them with repto life
Watering - I have a squirt bottle/ mister. i mist usually every 20 minutes and he drinks from the drips on leaves and sometimes from the bottle.
Fecal Description - all is normal and no
History - Unsure about these purple/ brownish dots on his face that appeared after his 1st molt with me. However a vet said they were just his colors.

Cage Type - as of right now i have him in a 20 gallon glasss tank since my screen cage broke i am buying a screen one soon
Lighting -I am using a zoomed 90 wat infrared for his heating and and i forgot what brand im using for the other bulb
Temperature - its usually around 80-85 degrees in there, he has plenty of basking spots and he usually sits right in between the 2 bulbs. lowest temp at night is probably 79 degrees i have a humidity and temperature gauge
Humidity - between 70 and 90. I do maintain however there's a small part of the day that no one is home to mist it down. a humidity gauge
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? all are fake
Placement - my cage is located on my dresser its not near any vents or fans, and its about 3 feet and a half off my floor
Location - Arizona

Current Problem - Hes acting strangely although i think it may be a molt. his grip is fine but he doesnt really move around much also he keeps falling asleep/ closing his eyes in my hand :l

I think your other bulb should be something that delivers UVB to your Cham!!!! ASAP!!!

You said you have another light bulb besides the 90 watt bulb. What is the other bulb and 95 watts is too much for a jackson

Theres a few different things that I noticed. Going from a screen cage to a glass tank could have an impact not only on getting adjusted, but changing many of his established regulatory functions. You might be over misting as well. The cage needs to dry out before you mist again. I usually go a couple hours before my mister goes off again. He needs some more variety in his food, and type of gutloading supplements. You mentioned theres a lot of basking spots. Are there any cooler areas that he can regulate his temperature as well as his humidity? I don't know much about the temp and humidity requirements for jacksons, but those numbers sound a bit high. Might want to double check them. Of course if you're not using a uvb bulb you may want to get one. Taking him outisde to get some natural sunshine is unparalleled by any UVB bulbs. I've seen my cham due a complete 180 going outside into the sun. Honestly I think the biggest factor would be getting him a new screen cage asap, and more UVB.

he wasnt in the screen cage ever. it was broken before i got him so i had to use a glass. ill get a gutload from petsmart from now on. Also the pamphlet i got from petsmart says those numbers are just right for a jackson. My mom thinks its an infection due to the fact hes closing his eyes a lot i have uvb and i dont wanna take him outside considering it gets to 112 degrees out :/

You'll get more results by reading multiple google results to try to find a common consensus. The eye closing is indicative of serous health problems not just an eye infection. Gutload from petsmart isn't the best, and you have to make sure you're getting the right balance of vitamins and UVB. Look up Sandra's supplement blogs in the archives on here.
