Every Tuesday I weigh my little male Jackson, Monty. This week is the first week that he has gained a whole gram in one week! Last week he was 6.5g and today he was 7.6g!!
I am so pleased with his progress and love the l'il dude so much! Twelve weeks ago when I brought him home he weighed just 2g so he's come a long way! Here is a link to my blog that documents his week by week weight readings: https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/miss-lily/557-j-xantholophus-weight-gain-log.html
I also had another special moment with him today - I was dripping water onto his leaves like I do every morning, and this morning he was thirsty and moved to the leaf to drink. I opened his viv so I could drip some water nearer to him and he looked up at the dropper and took 3 drops straight from it!
At the weekend, I offered him a small mealworm and didn't realise it was a little too big until he had zapped it. I tried to take it back out of his mouth, but he was like a dog with a bone and so determined to keep his food! He managed to eat it ok, but lesson learned for me, lol! I can't believe I played tug of war with my tiny baby chameleon using a mealworm!
