A Small Monty Update (Well actually quite a big one, lol)!

Every Tuesday I weigh my little male Jackson, Monty. This week is the first week that he has gained a whole gram in one week! Last week he was 6.5g and today he was 7.6g!! I am so pleased with his progress and love the l'il dude so much! Twelve weeks ago when I brought him home he weighed just 2g so he's come a long way! Here is a link to my blog that documents his week by week weight readings: https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/miss-lily/557-j-xantholophus-weight-gain-log.html

I also had another special moment with him today - I was dripping water onto his leaves like I do every morning, and this morning he was thirsty and moved to the leaf to drink. I opened his viv so I could drip some water nearer to him and he looked up at the dropper and took 3 drops straight from it! :D

At the weekend, I offered him a small mealworm and didn't realise it was a little too big until he had zapped it. I tried to take it back out of his mouth, but he was like a dog with a bone and so determined to keep his food! He managed to eat it ok, but lesson learned for me, lol! I can't believe I played tug of war with my tiny baby chameleon using a mealworm! :D

haha so cute!
Hes growing up nice!
I did that with Kermit once.
I put a hornworm in his cage.. realized it was too big, and right as i went to grab it. so did he.
He seriously took ten minutes to chew it, and the horn kept grabbing onto tleaves. green guts dripping, but her was DETERMINED to eat that thing... the whole time hes looking at me with this defiant look.
'SEE mom, i told you i could do it!"
