I kinda didn't expect that getting chameleons is an open-ended uhm enterprise. I spent the last 2h reading about pluses and minuses of various misting systems. MistKing £150, on you go! 3rd (adult) cage for the baby - another £100. I constantly keep upgrading things. Being new to this (since July), I already spent over £2K (inc my beardie stuff), and it just doesn't end! I want one more cham!
Just a few months ago I was thinking about a new bigger TV so I can see commander Shepard's nose hair. But after I discovered the wonderful world of chameleons, I think the old one is just fine. I can get another chameleon and a misting system instead! Soon I may need to hire someone to look after them when nobody's home ha.
Haven't bought myself new shoes or a new game in 3 or 4 months, thats not like me at all! Bought a small fridge to keep the worms in though. And some books. And some better branches. And plants. And then new plants.......
Tell me I'm not the only one please! My partner moans at me nearly every day (but when he comes home he goes to Ripley's cage and goes "How's my beautiful girl doing today?" in a silly voice. Schmuck:)

I completely understand, buying video games and stuff I don't really NEED has almost completely stopped since I got a cham. I want him to be comfortable and well taken care of, it's a bit of an obsession...or let’s just use the word "hobby" haha. I think my boyfriend used to think I was going way out of my way to care for it, and that they were high maintenance, but now he's loving chams as much as I do and is looking into getting one. You're definitely not alone here! :)

Oh, you're definitely not the only one. Chameleons put a great new perspective on everything else that you had in your "old" life!

You are not alone. I never thought I'd be reading up on bugs, let alone have a roach colony in my house! I see trees and I think "that'd make a good branch." I put my Louis Vuitton purse on hold because I ended up getting my male panther Niji then Ellie shortly afterwards. I really want another panther or a Jackson but I know I shouldn't since I'm pushing my limit. I have a business trip coming up in March and I'm getting worried that my husband won't be be able to do it and ill have to have a stranger look after them.

I know how that feels. We went away for Thanksgiving. My neighbor was gracious enough to come every other day to give my Panther bugs. I think she thought I was out of my mind but she did it anyway. And the most important part is my little Cirque was healthy and doing just fine when I got back ; )

Where in So Cal are you? PM me. Maybe I can help ; )

LOL! welcome to chamaholics unanimous :D

I know I can handle 4 chams with no worries, but I know one of these days,
I will be hanging out at Kammer's, LLL, FL Chams, or Screamin and find myself
clicking a "order now" button while in some sort of trance  ;)

Lmfao this thead is hilarious i love it a few years back i started the same way i still walk around looking at bushes and trees buying plants while grocery shopping lol spend half my day taking care of bugs and feeding chams and beardies and caring for babies. Then theres family and then at night its the fattails turns wow but man i cant see me doing anything else luckily i only work 3 days a week mind you long hours but between lindsay and i we make it all happen and find time to live. Auto Misters and feeding cups are major time savers:-):-)

Chamaholics unanimous haha well said!
Asked my boyfriend to get me MistKing for xmas.. what a romantic present! That's sorted, now I can concentrate on arranging a drainage system and convincing him that eventually one more tiny chameleon won't make a huge difference:D
