Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - Male veiled, 4 months, have had him almost 2 months
Handling - Hardly ever, he hates it.
Feeding - Mainly crickets. He eats around a dozen in the morning and 8-10 in the early evening. Gutload with mandarin oranges, carrots, some dry gutload I got at petstore.
Supplements - Exoterra Calicium without D3 every day, Rep-Cal Herptivite multivitamins every 2 weeks, ZooMed ReptiCalcium with D3 every 2 weeks.
Watering - I mist 4 times a day for a few minutes, also use a Big Dripper that is on all day. I see him drinking a lot and his urates are always pure white.
Fecal Description - They have been normal. The only exception was yesterday, and the poop fell in water on the bottom of the cage and I was gone when it happened, so when I got him and cleaned it up, it STUNK! Smelled like rotten eggs. He pooped again yesterday and it didn't smell, neither did his poop this morning. Urates are perfectly white. He has never been tested for parasites.
History - Nothing worth mentioning

Cage Info:

Cage Type - Reptibreeze 16x16x20...we are getting his big boy cage ready for him to move into within the next few weeks.
Lighting - Reptisum 5.0 UVB, Regular light bulb 40 watts in a dome shaped clamp lamp. Lights on at 7:30 and off at 8 to 8:30
Temperature - Currently, basking spot is 90, usually it is in the lower 80's(we had him next to a window in the sunlight and I have since moved him). Bottom of cage is around 65-70. We use a digital thermometer.
Humidity - Anywhere from 50% to 80%. I monitor whenever I'm home. It's relatively easy to keep up bc it stays pretty humid where I live. Monitor with hygrometer.
Plants - Two umbrella plants.
Placement - He is located in the corner of the living room. It is low traffic.
Location - Northeast Kentucky

Current Problem - I've just been a little bit worried about Kush. The first thing that caught my eye(or nose) was the poop yesterday. He's pooped twice since and neither one stunk. Then today, I have noticed he has been sitting with his mouth open just a little bit, not open wide. At one time, I was watching him, and caught him catching water from his dripper in his mouth. Then I noticed him leaving his mouth open a little bit when he was nowhere near his dripper. I've never seen him do this. I moved him out of the window, bc I noticed the temp was up pretty high and I sprayed him really good. It seems to have helped. I'm hoping he was just too hot, but I'm still worried. Now his temp is in the low 80's, where it normally is. He is acting more normal now. This mixed with the stinky poop yesterday just has me a little concerned. Thanks for any advice!

Edited to add.....Just as I posted this, he started holding his mouth open again, then he climbed to the bottom of the cage.

I would say he is too hot. Drop the temp to 85 and see if that helps. Baby's don't need it as hot as adults do. As for the poops...if it gives you piece of mind take a sample to the vet. Any poop will smell bad if it soaks in water and whatnot.

Parasite checks never hurt, but I think it is just that he is hot and the poo was in water all day.

I'm sure he is fine :)
