A few questions....

pinchy

Hi guys, i'm new to the forum, and a first time cham owner. Although i'm a research-aholic, I do have a few questions.

My cham, Pinchy, is around 9 months old. She has always been an avid bowl feeder, but unit recently she has had no interest in feeding at all, and will only eat hand fed worms. I have tried free range crickets, and she will eat one or two, but thats it. She has never been the "shy" type, and would usually race to her bowl at feeding time. Is this rapid change common in chams?

Secondly, she has seemed a bit more aggressive recently, and also spends alot of her time trying to escape! I have just upgraded her enclosure from a 65 gallon flexarium to a 100 gallon flexarium about a week ago. Is there anything I can do to make her more comfortable?

If anyone has any advice or information regarding my cham's case of the grumps, it would be much appreciated!! :p

I'm not too familiar with the females, but might she be gravid? Do you have a laying bin for her?

Yes, one filled with playsand. Just a bit smaller than a 5 gallon, but shes not showing any interest in it

Also, has anyone had experience building their own fogger system using a humidifier and a tube extending into their chameleons enclosure?

If she is gravid Id recommend putting her Into the laying bin and maybe starting a tunnel for her.. make sure the sand Is very moist so her tunnel will stay up.

Also I have heard of people using COOL.MIST humidifers and plumbing them into the cage or setting it near by. Watch it for a day it will mess with your temps

As far as making her comfortable how are her temps? How much foliage is in the cage and vines?

Her temps are:
83-86F basking spot
and
65-70F during the evening

I have a schefflera in tree form (which is fairly dense) and a ficus in her enclosure, plus multiple branches and vines. As for her feeder dish, I've moved it to the middle of her enclosure, when it used to be on the bottom. She knows where it is, but still seems uninterested!
