so i have recently have had a bit of time to come up with two solutions to some problems i was having and thought i would share the ideas.
so my first thing is, i like to shower my chams as much as possilbe, but i have never found the bouncing the water off the wall tech, very effective and wastes alot of water.
i dont know about you guys but i have often held my hand or something up in the water stream to get it to bounce off and get a better covering of the cham.
so ive tried a bunch of stuff then it came to me the other day.
i took a fake plastic plant, the ones with the suction cup allready attached work great or you can attach a piece of plant to a suction cup. and just stuck it to the shower wall and aimed the water at it, ( with the cham in a tree in the shower as allways ) well the water hits the plant and gets the leaves bouncing and then deflects lots of water all over. i acctually had to turn the shower to under half power to keep the splashes in the tub
a plant like this will work well.
then attach to the wall with a suction cup and aim the water at it
i find this really helps to get maximum water coverage to your cham
the next thing i put together is for weighing my chams, i had to get a bigger scale and the one i got came with this plate for weighing postal tubes, well it fits right on the scale so i thought i would add a piece of jungle vine to it to give the chams a place to climb onto, instead of trying to put them in a bowl.
i just drilled two holes and then ziptied the vine and then twisted it to give it extra strength and then ziptied the other end
the plate is just stitting on the scale and can be lifted of so you can use the scale like normal.
i have used it and even the chams that were the hardest to weight were a breeze with the setup
and last is just a little decoration i put together.
i took a pc of driftwood and attached to a rock base then got a flexi branch and drilled a hole into the driftwood and siliconed the flexibranch into the hole and wrapped with twine to cover silicone and secure the flexi branch,
i like the flexbranches because you can bend them to the shape you need but they dont have much of a way to make them stand up and i like the driftwood in my cages as a middle point to build off of and support other things, so this combines them both
plz lemmie know what you think and if you have any other idea or think you will try these
