A few baby pics.

After digging up 39 Sambava eggs last night, I started moving eggs around to make space, and discovered a couple of baby panthers had hatched. Ambilobe!

ive never used perlite always vermiculite it says on the perlite package that it can burn your skin you guys know anything about this

Im not sure maybe the powder from the perlite. I worked in a nursery for 5 years, and never ran into any problems with it burning my skin.

Hatchrite contains perlite and a small gel fragments that i believe are the same as the cricket jell cubes only ground up.

I was just in a nursery today trying to get somw vermiculite. They didnt have any and I said some people use perlite and asked how well it held moisture. They guy is like. Well, I dont need to know what you are using it for but it holds moisture really well:rolleyes: I said Im not growing pot I am incubating eggs in it. He then said he wouldnt recommend it because I forget:eek: but basically sayin that it will burn your skin! I know some people use it with success so?

Congrats on the babies! Pics of the lineage please:D

Ciafardo, don't you mean it the other way around? We were told by our nursery guy here in southern california that vermeculite is now illegal to buy... for that same reason about it burning the skin. That looks like perlite in the the picture. In fact, we've not been able to get it here since the 1980's
