A Different Lighting Question

I purchased my 5.0 Reptisun bulb and got an aquarium reflector to hold the bulb. Works great, however it came with an Eclipse fluorescent lamp. Can this bulb be used for my reps in any way? The only thing the bulb says is Natural Daylight on it.

The reflector only holds one bulb and I put the Reptisun bulb in it and I hate to just toss the other bulb.

I wouldn't use it unless it specifically states "UV" somewhere on it. From my experience "Full Spectrum" or "Daylight bulbs" do put out a little UV... but not enough for what your cham needs. These kinds of lights tend to be good for plant growth, as well as some fish tanks. I have a double bulb fluorecent fixture and I use one Reptisun 5.0, and One 60 wat Full Spectrum Daylight Plant grow light by GE to help out my foliage. I wouldn't toss the other bulb... Just mark it so that you know it is not UV... and save it for another application. Hope that helps...

Thanks. I will save it for use when I buy a new fixture for 2 bulbs. I will put it with a reptisun so it will help my plants in the enclosure grow.
