Very cute.Kat what size branches does he use.I am trying to figure out what size to put near the basking site.I bought a couple 1/2 inch vines but wonder if they are going to be too big.I have no idea what to expect with the size of 3-4 mnth cham.

Well he seems to really like the branches of his ficus tree at the moment which are really skinny, and all different sizes. 2mm, 3mm and 4mm across maybe.

The main vine in his enclosure which is the vine directly under his basking spot is 1cm across. Its the medium size Exo terra jungle vine.
He uses that just after eating anything as its directly under (well 6" from) his basking lamp, where the branches from his ficus tree are around the sides of the basking area at the closest. (so he won't burn himself by climbing up to close)

I thought although it may be quite wide at the moment, in comparison to his iddy biddy peeny weeny lil feet lol, as he grows it'll become smaller to him. Then I can use that one and a wider one when he gets his new adult enclosure. I've read its good for them to have different size vines and branches so they don't get cramped feet.

Here's a couple of pics showing Simba on his ficus branch and his basking vine is the bigger horizontal one at the back. He manages with that fine.

And here's a pic of him so you can get some idea of size of a 3mo cham

Hope that helps :)

Wow he is tiny.Makes that vine look huge. That is the same vine as I bought.
I guess I need to put more leaves and cover around the basking area and some smaller branches.Mine is kind of out in the open.
I couldnt find a ficus tree around here this time of year and the umbrella plant I bought is bushy and not even tall enough to reach to the top.
I cant wait till my chamy gets here.Im getting anxious because I havent heard anything from the breeder.

Well the coverage on the right side of the pic as actually just fake foliage.
He climbs round in that too. You could get some of that till you find a tall enough plant. Pothos will help with cover if you can get that?

You could post pics of your enclosure if you're after feedback/suggestions??

I've since 'spread' the branches of the ficus tree for Simba to make more branches for him to climb on. I think they're thankful for the cover when they're that small....Well they would be PREY in the wild at that size!!!

I remember how excited I was about Simba getting here!!

What kind of cham are you getting?

Here's a pic I managed to get yesterday of Simba on his basking vine ;)

Not the best quality but you can get more of an idea of size ( of a 3mo cham on the medium size vine):
