A chorus of color: hierarchical and graded information content of rapid color change signals in chameleons ...

I haven't read all either (ive opened another tab for later😄) but i vaguely remember coming across something about veiled's if kept with siblings longer producing more vivid colouration. Any truth in this or nonsense?

Interesting, so by isolation early, observations indicate an effect on personality to be less bold and more submissive. This inturn would producing more docile and less colorful specimens

I never tried to compare the results with any hatchlings I've hatched...don't know if one study is enough to say it.
True but of all the species veileds seem to be routinely offered younger to prospective keepers than other species.
