well... never thought i'd come to this, but i am and have been downsizing my whole reptile collection secretly. I'm at the point now where so much has hit, and i'm forced to be greedy and give more time for me. I'm in between jobs right now as an apprentice, and am going to have to move away for a month in march. time flys, and i know it'll be here before i know it. I need this time to get some new things in adjust with my life, and for that, have spent the last months or so finding new homes for my beloved critters.

i've put 2 crested geckos, and a rainbow amieva to new good homes, as well as all the baby veileds i hatched out. i still have two crested geckos that i'm having trouble selling, so i divided a Marty-Made enclosure yesterday, and housed both on the same enclosure to save space. I am going to be giving a friend of mine my leopard and will be keeping my pygmy leaf chameleon.

which brings me to this very bittersweet update. now i wasnt planning on doing this, but tomorrow i will be driving up to London (ONTARIO ASHLEIGH!:p) lol to deliver Tom my K. Multi to his new owner. He will be given to a new aspiring young member from here that is all ready for the cham challenge. They say tis the season to be jolly, so i'm really looking foward to seeing his happy excited face tomorrow.

Tom i'm gonna miss you buddy, and i really do miss my other kids :(

But Kiwi is deffinately staying, but is being downsized into a 36'' tall cage today, going to be fun doing a cage set up again :) B*** you're lucky i love you the most.. dont know why kiwi..but you're alright <3

it's going to back to me and the origional key haha, damn im down today :(

maybe once u have everything settled and sorted out with your job and such, you can start your collection again :)

As much as it pains you now, you know you are doing the right thing for your critters and yourself.

I can't say I know how you feel but I can understand the heartbreak of giving up the kids. The good thing is though you are doing it for the right reason and not being selfish.

Change happens, things start falling back in place and life becomes good again.

Best of luck to you in your new endeavors :D:)

thank you two, don't worry. i will be back with a full on collection again, but its going to be even good for kiwi too, seeing as now she can have so much more attention. My experience thus far, has been very rewarding, from keeping, to rescuing, to medical healing, to building cages, to breeding. its been awesome, but is going to feel good slowing down from it for a while.

Oh, that's a shame, especially sad to see Tom go..........of course you wouldn't be doing it if you were able to give him the attention he deserves. Hard decisions have to be made to be responsible sometimes :( You still are keeping a few though, so you've got to stay positive for Kiwi and your little pyg :D. You'll still have more lizards in your house than I do :) and wow, you are super well organised. Not like me, I do everything at the very last minute (damn I need a new job soon......if anyone gets ill, I'll have a real credit card nightmare on my hands )
Where are you going in March?

wel phil sound like you are doing what need to be done and credit is due for that, sorry to hear you are feeling down bud, but you know u are doing whats best for the animals and you.

ironic. Gordon is my grandfather who passed almost 2 years ago

p.s Hoj, i just put together kiwi's cage and modified her stand for draining.. dammit though i knew this would happen. seeing how spacious a 36'' is, makes me want to buy more and fill my room up with smaller chams lol ohh silly me. TOTALLY defeats every intention im trying to do right now lol
