a bit sad

My first clutch of quads are over 6 months. All but 3 are staying in our breeding group. I have sold those three. My first baby will leave home this Wednesday. The other 2 in a couple weeks. I am only keeping 1 female here with me. The others go to my 2 breeding group partners. At least I will know what is happening to all of those kids.

I really do try not to get attached. Good thing I have 10 more from the next clutch, here to keep me company. Clutch 3 is due to hatch in less than a month. At least they will not leave me for a while, maybe NEVER!!

Well it's about time, you've been hogging them all;) just kidding, I'm sure they'll miss you. Hope you get a 100% hatch rate with the new clutch.

Awww, Laurie! :( I know it must be so hard! I thought I would be sad when my crestie babies went to their new homes. I found the first one quite sad, but seeing the delight on the new owner's face really helped me. Everyone still keeps in touch and gives me progress updates. Someone loved his baby so much he bought another! I saw him today and he is happier than ever with both of them!

its hard letting them go. Just be happy you know they will be in good hands and well taken care of!

Yes I think anyone who knows me, knows I feel confident on where they are going. I already have people talking about clutch 2. They cn not even be thought about for new homes, I am still on the trauma of these three boys leaving.

Stacy clutch 2 is already here, they are over 2 months old. But they are all different at different ages. Now I will only have 1 six month old female here with me. Her name is Kevin.:)

If I remember right, Kevin was the pole dancer! Ended up being a female, thats funny!

It is so hard to part with them...I feel your pain;)

Your next clutch will hatch any day and they will be so small and cute, it will ease your pain.

It is hard, and I have only done it once with Olive's babies - and I still have 2 of them ( I am not as strong as you :p - I just could not part with them  ) but I think its great that you and your breeding group are helping the cb population :D
and Annie is a little egg machine - she will have more for you to love very soon ;)

My understanding of this process it that you need a male, and I don't have an adult.:(
