A big sigh of relief!!!!

I would hate to have your vet bill. Worrying is sure expensive:)

If she did not lay one egg, it is not going to be sticking out her side. After laying eggs, females tend to have a bumpy, stretched out look. Just feel her stomach. You would more than likely be able to feel the egg. A vet visit might offer you peace of mind, but I don't see how this is good for the chameleon. Just unnecessary added stress.

Looking at her she looks ill. Just not herself. After experiencing losing a Cham I don't want to experience it anymore, vet bills do suck, but something feels wrong and I can't put my finger on it. I got her out yesterday and her grip was very weak. Her hind legs were very shakey. And she kept closing her eyes. Something just seems off. I would rather take her in to be seen then trust my judgment. I honestly don't trust my judgment anymore. After suffering loss of these animals I thought I was helping I prefer now to just go to dr.wilson. Especially with Frita. I love Frita with all of my heart, I'll be crushed if I lose her. The bills do add up. It is a hobby a for sure. And I thought photography was expensive.

I'm not there to see the chameleon. Do what you think is best.
Just remember, no vet is a miracle worker. A vet cannot cure exhaustion, and dehydration. Time and water can. If you have the money to spend, and think it is something serious, go ahead and take her.

She had problem with her tongue because of the lack of calcium. Maybe the same thing is happening after that many eggs...Can you give her extra calcium?

I think your judgement is right, if she doesn't seem "right" to you then I think seeing the vet is the right call. My females may be tired and hungry after laying but they are still themselves, alert and eager to eat. Keep us posted.

Now I'm going to say to take her. I don't want to be the only to say not to, then have something be wrong with her. :(

My thinking was if she was healthy enough to dig a foot tunnel, she is probably just wore out. I agree with Olympia that most the time they seem their normal selves, but I have definitely had some females looking pretty bad. They usually perk up in a day or 2. Either way, a vet visit won't hurt.

Good luck.
