Hi sorry your Cham is having health issues.
Can you fill this form out so we can better help you :)

Here is some recommended information to include when asking for help in the health clinic forum. By providing this information, you will receive more accurate and beneficial responses. It might not be necessary to answer all these questions, but the more you provide the better. Please remember that even the most knowledgeable person can only guess at what your problem may be. Only an experienced reptile veterinarian who can directly examine your animal can give a true diagnosis of your chameleon's health.

Current Problem- he fell off a perch a couple days ago not too high only a few inches but now his back legs and tail have gone a darker colour and he doesn't use his back legs to support his weight, he pulls him self along with his front legs, he can still move them though. He also isn't eating or drinking much because he isn't very mobile st the moment

Can you post pics of him and his enclosure.
Sorry to say, It sounds like at this point he needs a vet visit especially if he's not using his back legs. Chameleons can mask an illness for a very long time and by the time it's noticeable it's really serious. It could be a vitamin deficiency or an infection.
What do you gut load your feeders with?

Also when was the last time you replaced his UVB light? They should be changed every 6 months or this can lead to Metabolic Bone Disease because the light looses its effectiveness
