Hello there everyone.
I've got a very healthy male and female veiled, both about 2 years old. Rescued them from someone who had no idea what they were doing. Needless to say they mated and my female laid eggs on 8-22-14. She had 45 eggs. They are ALL still viable and full of veins. I've read a ton on how to care for them when they begin to hatch and until they go to their new homes at about 2-3 months old but I still feel like there is more to learn. I want to be completely prepared for them. I've got 3 cages with all the works ready to go for them. My biggest fear is not having enough food for them or not timing the food at the correct time. I was planning on fruit flies then pinhead crickets. Any advice and suggestions from people who have been there done that would be fantastic. How much will they eat, how often to feed them, good temperatures to keep them at. Is culturing fruit flies really as easy as they make it look?
I think the eggs have around a month to go. They are past the pink with veins stage and on to the looking half full stage. They are just over 5 months old now.
I want to get this right.
Thank you all in advanced.
Sincerely,
