5,10,6,12% ????????

Hi guys,

Got me Arcadia t5 controller today with dual leads and reflectors, I am planning on having my uv and a plant grow light. My question is I have a 48 inch high Viv the bulbs will be placed on the top on the aluminium mesh roof.

Which bulb should I go for???

Panther cham, only a baby at the moment

I have a t5 tube 6% I think with reflector. I have a 4 ft wooden viv and mine runs diagonally along back wall inside viv. It's nice and bright.

5-6% if its in cage, 10-12% if its out of cage. Also remember that the T5 puts out 2x more light than a normal reptsun/T8 bulb.

I would recommend a 6%, 12% is in the danger zone and is not recommended outside of the medical/zoo field, or if you have a sun lover like a beardy or iggy that has natural sun screen build into their skin. 12% cham mix is for people with solar meters and need them because it will be at min 18" away from the cham.

PS what is your controller??? I have t8 controler with just rubber end caps for any size light, but yours has a reflector and is multi size?

I have the dual Arcadia control 2x 39w.
It's the waterproof one used for aquariums I thought it would give extra protection because of the humidity.

I just ordered the 6% Arcadias...

I wouldn't go any higher unless you have a UVB gage, if so i'd go with a 12% so you can monitor it/calibrate it.

Also you state you have a 48" adult enclosure? How old is your "baby" panther? Just make sure your cham isn't roaming around and make sure he's getting his proper basking temps/UVB.
