4 month old panther fell from 7 ft

My 4 month old panther fell on to a carpet from about 7 ft. He looks ok outwardly, is climbing fine and whatnot. Should I be concerned about internal damage? He fell on to a carpet but not a very padded one...

That is pretty far to fall. Normally they fare pretty well from falls. Hopefully, he will be ok. Just keep an eye on him for an changes in behavior.

He is pretty young, in humans that would mean bones are still soft. But anyway you look at it 7ft is a very long way for a 4 month old panther to fall. Did he fall or did he jump? Quads jump out of peoples hands all time unless they know to be careful. All you can do at this point is monitor him carefully, see if any limbs are not moving correctly, see if he is eating and drinking, watch him climb and make sure he is steady, not like he might fall. Last check that he is pooping as he should.

Update on keyser's fall

Thanks ladies!

I watched him close over the weekend and everything seems good. He's moving fine and I watched him take nice healthy poo. Probably the biggest turd I've found so far too lol. I continue to keep an eye to make sure they're are no developments but as of now I think we're good.

He actually fell..I had a fake ficus tree next to his cage and he was boxing off the metal frame to get out on to it and I think his hands wern't quite big enough to grasp the frame and he slipped. I know the youngsters are famous for jumping especially when handled so I will certainly be careful of that. I think its possible he was a little anxious and maybe not as careful as he normally would have been taking his sweet time.
