I wonder the same thing about my 4 month old. he is supposed to have come from a red bar bloodline, but seems to have blue bars....

This guy comes from my red body blue bar bloodlines.

He's beautiful!! ...so, is he just really advanced in getting his colors, or is mine just really behind?

Check out the post I made last month in general photography called Turn on the lights. Ambilobe's color development is highly variable in both time and extent. And of course genetics play a huge role!

Because his bars faded? So you just werent feeling what he looked like? Was he for breeding?
