I use a Natural light 60w house bulb for basking purposes. Well I've gone though 3 in 2 weeks and kinda stumped. I dont know if its my basking light fixture or if its the bulbs. The fixture has taken 4 falls since I've got it back in Feb. So it might be the fixture. But if it is I'm out a fixture til I get paid which will be IDK when *sigh*

I wouldnt worry too much about it if Ringo would be ok with being handled I could just take him outside for a little bit. Reg room temperature is at 75 -78 degrees in that room.

If you end up needing another fixture/hood lamp, go to home depot or lowes. A LOT cheaper than the pet store brands.

Look at the fixture and see what wattage its rated for. 60 is pretty low but its possible it has a low rating and it cant handle the bulbs.
