2yr old female veiled, worth buying?

italian chameleon

hi I'm about to buy a 2 yr old female veiled to breed my male

I read that the females' lifespan is slightly shorter than males' so I'm not sure about buying her

I havent seen the cham personally yet, but from the picture she seems healthy and beautiful.plus the owner said she laid eggs only once and was never mated

There's gonna be a big reptile show near my hometown by the end of march, just by the time I'll be home for Easter holidays so I was considering the option of getting a younger female there instead of buying the 2yrs old.

what would you suggest?

P.s the 2 yr old cham comes with vivarium and lamps at the ridicolus price of 120€.

In my opinion she would probably be a wonder pet. I personally would never breed past three years old. When she becomes receptive this spring you could breed and she would give you a clutch (provided nothing goes wrong) and then you'd have the retained clutch. I would not breed her again after that. I would not breed more than once a year and then she'd be over 3 the next year. Are you sure the seller's telling the truth about her age? I truly care about the animals and egg laying is very hard on females and they do have a shorter life span than the males.

hi Jannb thanks for the answer I think I'll get one from the reptile expo near my hometown. the 2 yrs cham with viv and all the other stuff was a good deal tho :)
