2 Weeks with my new Yemen Hendrix! Still need a little bit of advice....

I posted earlier this week for some basic advice but still need a tad bit more info. He's four months old and I have some pics of him and his enclosure. He eats about 7-8 crickets a day with a superworm too, he has a dripper but he doesn't seem interested in it, any way for him to learn how to drink from it? He is also still extremely cage aggressive and skiddish when I walk by, so handling is pretty much a hassle right now, which makes cleaning the cage a really stressful experience for him. And also is there an alternate form of drainage instead of drilling a hole in the pvc bottom of a reptibreeze? Any changes that should be made to his cage? Thanks in advance!

Congratulations for your beautiful boy! :)
He needs more time apparently if he is that shy. Have you tried hand feed him?
Check out the enclosure and drainage threads! I for instance drilled holes in the bottom. Why don't you want to try that?
I like your enclosure but some lighter picture would help.:) Do you have a misting system? You can try to put towels on the bottom, but keep them dry as much you can, it can cause bacterial growth.

Thank you! And I have TRIED but he just doesn't take to kindly to my hand, however today he didn't really make a fuss when I picked him up to clean his cage, so I guess he's starting to get used to me. As for the drill thing, I was misinformed by the pet store employee on what size terrium I should get, so I want to be able to sell it when he gets bigger so I can invest in a more appropriate size, I don't think alot of people will look past drilling the bottom, even if it does make sense too. I mist 4 times a day with a bottle and keep the dripper on till the afternoon. And thanks I'll try the towel idea, I run out of paper ones extremely fast!

In my cham's first cage I used towels on the bottom. I had to wash it two times a week at least though, but I liked it better than papertowel. Just have 2-3 towels and you can change it easily.
How big is your cage now?
You can cover the cage with something if he is so terrified from you!
Do you see him drinking? Does his poop look healthy?

it's 16 x 16 x 30, he has enough foilage to hide into when he's nervous. But actually he seems to be warming up to me a bit :) I make sure he drinks when I mist his cage, his poop and urate thankfuly look ok. I think I'll give the towel idea a try thanks!
