Looks good

She looks very healthy after all she's been through. Where did you get the fly? Remember I told you about mine catching flies outside in my front porch??? I'd like to order some from somewhere so I don't have to "attract" wild flies. How's the other girl doing?

Those are flightless fruit flies. I buy them at Petco. I buy my crickets and worms from Armstrong Cricket Farm 1-800-658-3408. The lady I deal with is Mandy. I have a standing order. I am still looking for the best deal on flies. I'll let you know when I find it. :)

The other girl is great! She is soooo healthy. She is the one that absorbed all of the yolk when she hatched. She is twice the size of the older girl. I'll e-mail you pics.

Hi, I found a great deal on house flies at spiderpharm.com 10g of pupae for $1.95 (which is about 500 flies) plus S&H. My Jackson will only eat flies right now:)

when i had praying mantises i bred the fruit flie i bought flies through a website they came in tubes then u can buy the blue media (blue food). when the batch u order turns bad (blue media rotten and green or brown) you clean the tubes out and mix blue media right and make it look like when u order put the red mesh ladder thing in the goo and add 20- 30 flies (make sure you save some from last batch). then wait til u can see alot of white larvae and then use those flies then keep process going. when u feel confident u can use ur own cylinders probably 2-3" across and 6-10" tall and find something for flies to climb keep cool not to cold not to hot if this helps anyone i hope u have fun.
