Hello everybody,
This will be my last frequent post as I'm now pretty much entirely confident on Panzers growth and health. I don't have any photos of him right now as he has shed today, his first shed with me.
Today I just want to ask a simple question. He started shedding around 10AM (GMT +1) and was actively removing the skin himself from around 12AM-2PM. He's settling down now in his sleeping spot but still has some skin to be shed on his tail, about half of his tail still has old skin on it and some of his fingers though that seems to be coming off.
Is it normal for the tail to take a little longer? If it isn't off tomorrow night, I was going to have a go at helping him with some warm water, but it's the type of thing I'd like to know and haven't heard much of.
Pretty much the basic info, he's 3-4 months old. I gave him two extra short mistings today to aid him. He had a big juicy silkworm and a few crickets to eat, so no problems with eating or hydration. I think the skin will pop off tomorrow when I go to mist him.
Photos will come when he's finished his shedding so you can see his lovely new jacket!
