From what I know you have to see a vet, get a fecal done to determine what type of parasite and then get the correct medicine. Do you know in fact your chameleon has parasites??? There are also parasites that present themselves under the skin. I am not sure if they are treated in the same manner as the ones found in the fecal matter.

Well coming to find out I had been using a fluorescent bulb That's noneffective for chameleons and causes blindness . (Pet store set me up supposedly every thing I needed)
After 2 weeks of research found this info out. We'll needless to say my chameleon had gotten very week and stopped eating and drinking.
With the light problem I am assuming his immune system had been weak.
All chameleons are exposed to different parasites .
With a strong immune system usually don't affect them.
But since Lighting (his name) was ill. I am assuming that since he's not putting on weight he probably has some parasite from the crickets ect...
He's underweight at about 20grams at a yr old
I had been hand force earring and drinking for 2 weeks while he got his energy back.
Seems fine now.
Eating on his own and drinking.
Just not putting on weight..

Yes it came back neg-
so went and got another opinion.
2nd vet said it came back +positive
For the remedy they came up with is aprox 285.00
So thought I would check around before I break my self for my son's chameleon.
He's a Panther
Weights about 20grams at 1 yr old
