14 month old carpet eggs

i have no idea whats going on with my carpet eggs. I didn't think they took so long especially since the carpet species don't live such a long time. The eggs are completly clear, I candled them and there is no veins. Any ideas? If they were infertile wouldn't they just die off sooner?

I sent a PM to Dooley, the board expert on Carpets. He's bred lots of them so if anyone can help, it's him!

Carpets take on average about 10 months for me when kept at around 70F for the duration of incubation, however, can take longer. I just had some eggs that hatched over the course of the past week that are around 14 months as well. You may not see veins.

There is no way to know what is going on with them...just better to wait

Thanks Kevin, those eggs are now 15 months old and two went moldy but a few are still going. Thanks for your reply about their cages, I will be putting them in their own afterall and making a sand egg laying container so they can lay them there. Crossing my fingers
