How about heavy black bakalite phones? We had one when I was a kid!

or even the first cell phones...

I remember pre VHS when there only 2 tv channels ! Didnt see color Tv till about 1978 when I was 9

Yes, I guess we were Posh LOL but a toilet outside, lots of fun in OZ on a very dark night, anything from spiders to snakes to a billygoat might be in there!
