    It's a black widow. I got a bottle of spider killer at Wal-Mart yesterday and sprayed it down pretty good. I'm not all that bothered by spiders, but I'm not thrilled about the idea of a bunch of baby black widows hatching right outside my front door.

    The females don't seem to be too bothered about you getting close to them. Although when I have seen them change color, they didn't have spots. They get dark and stripey like this.
