Well here is an update for everyone. I have put the bucket of sand in her enclosure, But still no signs of digging yet. She is till eating. So I really have no clue. I have added some pics for you to see how big she is over the last few days and how I have set up her cage. I hope she lays soon...
Yes I shall definitely do that, if she does not lay over the next few days or so... She is definitely getting no more than 3 a day :)
Thanks for the advice, and I will keep everyone posted on this progress.
Well yeah my chams for some reason act like I starve them during feeding time so they eat heaps. But she has stopped eating at the moment and didn't eat yesterday or today.
Really do you think she could lay quite a few? I was thinking that I might get around 20?
Oh okay great, sure I have had her in the bucket for about 5 hours now so I will get her out and put her in her tub. And yes she has been with a male. My female is Pascal, and my male is Yoshi, so Yoshi has doen the deed. I have also dug a test tunnel for her :)
I feed her about 10-15 crickets a day, she has stopped eating though I noticed, And to be honest I really don't know when she mated as I used to house the male and female together up until a month ago, and about 2 weeks the male got into her cage, and they mated and that is the only time I saw...
I don't have a bin in her cage, I have actually taken her out of her cage, and put her in a plastic tub, with holes in it for moisture, it is quite dark for her, but there is heat, so she is quite warm, temp about 70's.
Although, I don't know if I should have her in a separate tub or put her...
Hi everyone,
So I guess this is my first time my little girl will have babies. I hope. So she has been fat for a few weeks now, and have taken some photos over the last few weeks, would someone be able to tell me if she is actually pregnant?
I have her in a tub - with damp sand, strong...
That seems fine too me, though I recommend perlite. But I am sure vermiculite does the job just as great.
I used it for my beardie eggs and it worked great just don't make it the vermiculite too moist.
I can't wait for my girl to lay too, she is in her bucket, but no digging yet :(
Hi Thanks for everyone's help. I took my girl to the vet yesterday, he said it isn't very bad its just started MBD so I have caught it early. He gave her some calcium syrup and a fortum injection (I think that is what its called) its an antibiotic. She will be going back on saturday for one...
Thanks so much. She is booked in to go to the vet tomorrow and see what he has to say. I have ordered a whole heap of stuff off LLLreptile new uvb's etc. Would any one be able to recommend what brand of calcium powder to get and what kind of vitamins to buy?
Also my lizard seems to be moving...
The brand of gutload is called is called Pisces enterprises. I am using a reptile one UV and it is 5.0. No it is not a fish tank, sorry I am not American so we say it differently yes it is an enclosure. The tank is 40x40x40. It has vines and fake plants also has a mister. I am pretty sure I am...
I've had the lizard for 3 months now, the gutload I am using is pisces. And the light goes directly into the tank, so there is no lid. I also have a male and they are in the same tank.
Hi everyone,
My female seems to have developed a double knee over the last week. I was wandering if anyone would be able to help me out and let me know what it could be or if this is normal?
She is eating well, moving around well, I can't determine whether its a serious problem or not as...
